Overview

This Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core builds page no longer presents guess-style “best class for scenario” advice as if it were a solved meta. Rogue Core builds are run-based, evidence-dependent, and shaped by four parts: Reclaimer / deck anchor, weapon behavior, upgrade trigger, and team context.

Last checked: 2026-05-19 Build: Early Access launch window / official wiki recheck Tier-list confidence: Tracking, not definitive Evidence policy: Official Reclaimer kits, decks, weapon table entries, Expenite mechanics, and upgrade trigger rows are used as the basis. DPS rankings and hard “S-tier” recipes wait for live EA data.

Evidence-Based Rogue Core Build Framework

A useful Rogue Core build should be written like this:

Reclaimer + deck anchor + weapon behavior + upgrade trigger + caveat

That format makes the build verifiable. It also stops the page from recommending a class without explaining which official system makes the recommendation work.

03

Why This Replaces Guess-Based Build Advice

The old version talked about “beginner,” “solo,” “co-op,” and “mobility” builds, but many recommendations were not tied to exact official mechanics. That is risky for a launch wiki because users may spend time or progression based on unsupported claims.

This page now follows a stricter rule:

If a recommendation cannot pass that structure, it belongs in a testing queue, not in a “best build” table.

Quick Answers for Rogue Core Builds

Is there a real Rogue Core tier list yet? Not safely. There is a build framework, not a definitive S/A/B/C tier list. The class kits are official, but live DPS, exact weapon stats, unlock costs, and patch balance are still launch-window data.

What makes a build in Rogue Core? A build is the interaction between your Reclaimer / Phase Suit, deck, starting Reclaimer Weapon, salvaged run weapons, Expenite upgrades, Workbench upgrades, Artifacts, and team context.

What should beginners use? Beginners should start with build anchors that forgive mistakes: Guardian Protection/Devastation for space and armor, or Spotter Mobility/Big Crits if they can aim and use information tools.

Can I copy DRG builds? No. Rogue Core is a roguelite where temporary upgrades and in-run weapon finds reshape the build. Base DRG loadout logic does not transfer directly.

05

Guardian Builds

Guardian builds should start with space control. The official kit confirms Concussive Barrage stuns for 6 seconds, Repulsion Field lasts 4 seconds, and Armor Beacon restores armor up to 50% Max Armor in a 6m zone for 15 seconds.

06

Spotter Builds

Spotter builds should start with crit reliability. Crit Dart has 3 charges, an 18s cooldown, and direct marks give +100% Crit Chance for 5 seconds.

07

Falconer Builds

Falconer builds should start with electric windows. Shock Drone uses 5 charges, applies electrocution, and Thunder Rod grants +100% Electric Damage in an 8m zone for 15 seconds.

08

Slicer Builds

Slicer builds should start with melee trigger safety. Slice has a 20s cooldown and deals 560 damage; Blitz has a 4s cooldown.

09

Retcon Builds

Retcon builds should start with risk-window control. Rewind Time lasts 20 seconds and restores position, ammo, health, and armor to activation state. Rage gives +100% Damage for 20 seconds.

How Expenite Changes Builds

The official wiki now confirms the R.E.P.D. upgrade economy:

FAQ

Is there a Rogue Core tier list yet?

No safe final tier list yet. This page gives an evidence-backed build framework and labels confidence clearly.

What is the best beginner build?

Start with Guardian Protection/Devastation plus safe weapons and defensive/stun upgrades. It is not guaranteed top DPS, but it is the most forgiving official kit.

What is the best crit build?

Spotter Big Crits plus a precision weapon and crit/weakpoint upgrades is the clearest official crit framework.

What is the best melee build?

Slicer Footwork or Carnage with close-range weapons and melee triggers such as Defensive Fighting or Exposing Strike.

How does Expenite affect builds?

Expenite feeds the R.E.P.D. temporary upgrade draft. The first upgrade costs 120 Expenite, and later upgrades increase by 10 each.

Can I use Deep Rock Galactic builds in Rogue Core?

No. Rogue Core has different Reclaimers, temporary upgrades, deck logic, permanent unlocks, and in-run weapon acquisition.
